JEWELLERY MAKING CLASSES

Learn to make your own jewellery
using gemstones, pearls and crystals,
for yourself, for gifts or for your Bridal Party.
Classes are held Wednesday and Saturday from 2-4 at
SADLERS CAFE, 1729 Water Street, Chatham
Classes start February 7th
There’s plenty of parking at the rear of the café.
Please note that parking on Water St. is limited.
$10 per class includes light refreshments, tuition, use of jewellery making tools and all the findings you will need to make the items of the week. You’re welcome to bring your own necklaces for re-cycling. A selection of gemstones, pearl & crystal beads can be purchased at the class.
You are welcome at any or all of the classes. Wednesday is just for adults; Saturday is open to children over 10 accompanied by an adult. This can be a great mother and daughter bonding time.

Classes start promptly and each class will begin with discussion of the use of tools and materials and design techniques. Please be on time as these discussions will make your jewellery designing quicker and easier for you.
Class Schedules
February 7th & 11th
Basic Earrings
Using eye pins and head pins with shepherd hooks you will make 2 pairs of earrings. For this class beads and findings supplied.
February 14th & 18th
Basic bracelets
Using wire, elastic and lobster clasps you will make 2 bracelets. Findings and spacer beads provided.
February 21st & 25th
Basic necklaces
Using nylon coated stainless steel wire you will make a necklace with a lobster clasp. Clasp, wire and spacer beads provided.
February 28th & March 4th
Floating stones necklace
You will learn 2 methods on how to make a few beads into a light and airy necklace. Wire, clasp and crimps provided.
March 7th & 11th
Advanced Earrings
Dramatic drops, chains, loops and studs will be the subject of this class and you can make as different styles as you have time for. Findings provided.
March 14th & 18th
Advanced Bracelets
Multi-rows and charm bracelets using stick and circle fasteners. Fasteners and wire provided.
March 21st & 25th
Advanced Necklaces
Multi-strings, beading, pendants and working with chain. Wire, chain and fasteners provided. Pendants will be available for purchase.
March 28th & April 1st
Open class
Make an item of your choice and participate in a fashion show of all the work produced during the course.
You are welcome to take as few or as many of the classes as you wish but you are encouraged to book ahead as space is limited. You can pay each time you attend but as a bonus if you pre-pay for 8 classes you will receive a packet of gemstone beads enough to make a necklace and a bracelet!
Make-up classes are available either through regular class time or by special appointment in my studio at 257 Winnipeg Cres.
